Cameron Shenk, a 26-year-old Harvard University student accused of carrying out a bizarre, naked attack at Logan International Airport on Nov. 22 was not in court Monday for a dangerousness hearing as originally planned, as he agreed to undergo a mental health evaluation.

Suffolk District Attorney’s OfficeSpokesman Jake Wark said the hearing, which would have included witness testimony, would not take place Monday.

“Through counsel, the defendant has agreed to a mental health evaluation, which prosecutors had requested but which the court denied at his Nov. 26 arraignment,” Wark said in an emailed statement.

Shenk, an economics student at Harvard Extension School, is charged with attempted murder, assault and lewd conduct for allegedly stripping naked in a women’s restroom, climbing into a drop ceiling, then falling to the floor and attacking an elderly man.

Shenk’s defense attorney said last week that his client has no history of mental illlness.

It is unclear when he will next appear in court.
