You can't perusethe subject of NBA trade rumors without finding a list a mile long of potential Celtics fits on teams looking to make a move.
Among these has been superstar center DeMarcus Cousins, who many believe will be shipped out of Sacramento before the trade deadline. Sources as viable as NESN and radio host Adam Kaufman have said that the potential of a trade sending Cousins to Boston "has traction." Kaufman says his source is not the Celtics or the Kings, so one might be led to believe a third team was approached about a deal — a three-way trade — or that the rumor is a well-known potentialblockbuster move.
Boston has a slew of attractive pieces, including a few young players and likely high draft picks to make a trade possible and it is no secret Danny Ainge has wanted to bring in a true superstar (so close with Kevin Durant).
If Boogie isn't in the wings, a few other big names ranging from Brooklyn's Brook Lopez to New Orleans' Anthony Davis are also amid recent rumors.
With the Celtics picking up the quality of theirplay recently, a run at a 2-seed in the East could be made more probable with a trade deadline addition. And, in a seven-game series with the defending champions from Cleveland, anything can happen.
Expect the rumor mill to get even more hot and ridiculous as the February deadline approached.
