An 18-year-old freshman at Northeastern University died from meningitis Sunday, only hours after he was diagnosed with the condition, WHDH reported. Ryan Shaw, from Wakefield, was reportedly pursuing a finance degree and was a recent graduate of St. John’s Prep School in Danvers, where teachers and students held a vigil in his memory Tuesday.
