Foxborough Police said an impressively large bottle of Hennessy XO Cognac was stolen during a break-in at a commercial property in the town last week, and are asking the public’s help to find it.

Police described the inviting bottle as 22 inches tall and 12 inches wide, and could make for one hell of a party.

It could also mean a huge payday — the novelty bottle of this luxury liquor retails for about $15,000.

“Over our years of policing experience, we have taken reports of many different items that have been reported as stolen,” a post on the department’s Facebook page read. “This reported stolen item is definitely one of the more unusual ones.”

The bottle was stolen sometime late on Aug. 1 or early on Aug. 2 during a break-in at a suite rented by Rodman for Kids, a charity, according to the Sun Chronicle.

That item, along with some other sports memorabilia taken from the office, were slated to be auctioned off later this month to help raise funds for programs supporting at-risk children in Massachusetts.

But, authorities said they are optimistic they’ll find the beast of a bottle.

“It’s kind of hard to hide a bottle of liquor this large,” the department’s statement concludes.

Anyone with information about the liquid heist is asked to call Detective Patrick Morrison or Officer Charles Gallagher at 508-543-1212.
