Police in Burlington are searching for a suspect in a Friday evening armed robbery.

One Stop Convenience Store, located on Winn Street near the Woburn city line was robbed around 9:25 p.m.

Police say a large, heavy set man showed the clerk a gun and took a quantity of cash before fleeing.

The man was described as being between six-feet-one and six-feet-three and was wearing a white zip-up hooded vest over a black jacket, gray New Balance sneakers, blue gloves and a green mask which covered his face from view.

Police think the suspect was monitoring activity in the store prior to entering, based on surveillance footage.

The suspect fled westbound on Mountain Road, where police believe a vehicle was either parked or waiting for him. A police dog could not track the suspect.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance footage, released this weekend by police, is encouraged to call the Burlington Police Department Detective Division at 781-272-1212.
