It’s officially September, baseball’s final full calendar month, and the Red Sox are poised to make the postseason for the first time since they won it all in 2013.

There’s still plenty of winning to be done between now and Oct. 3 as the Sox are battling with the Blue Jays and Orioles for first place in the division and teams like the Tigers, Astros and Royals in the AL Wild Card standings.

Taking care of business against weak clubs like the A’s will be key for the Sox if they want to comfortably ride into October. Oakland will host the Sox this weekend, staring with a Friday night tilt that will feature David Price (13-8, 3.97 ERA) on the mound for the Sox. Rick Porcello (18-3, 3.26 ERA) and Eduardo Rodriguez (2-6, 5.35 ERA) will get the ball on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
