A Roxbury man is due in Suffolk Superior Court Monday for allegedly shooting dead a 22-year-old man in Copley Square in 2013.

A Suffolk County grand jury on Friday indicted Michael Jordan, 27, on charges of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm in connection with the death of Ahmir Lee, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.

Prosecutors say Jordan shot Lee near Trinity Church on Boylston Street on the evening of Aug. 22, 2013. Lee later died at Boston Medical Center, DA officials said.

Jordan’s arrest Saturday came on the heels of a long-term investigation by Boston Police homicide detectives and Suffolk prosecutors.

The Suffolk County Grand Jury on Friday returned indictments charging Michael Jordan, 27, with first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Additional details are expected at Monday’s arraignment.
