A man was stabbed in the neck outside a North End bar early Thursday morning after a heated argument with his alleged assailant, police said.

Police said two men who knew each other got into an argument at about 1:15 a.m. outside The Point bar and the shouting match escalated into physical violence.

Police arrested Evan Cobb, 22, of Somerville and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
