A taxi cab collided with a pickup truck just before noon Wednesday on the Meridian Street bridge connecting East Boston and Chelsea.
Two people had to be extracted from the taxi – an older white male and a young teenager, according to authorities. Both were transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. It appears as though rain may have played a part in the crash, police said. Rescue crews from both East Boston and Chelsea were on scene. Stay with Metro as this story develops.
