A Tufts University student died early Saturday morning in downtown Boston, WCVB reported.
The student was identified as first-year student Alex Bhak. The cause of death remains unreported and under investigation.
“His parents and friends say he loved being at Tufts, and we know his sudden passing will be deeply felt by those who knew and loved this bright and talented young man," the university wrote in a statement.

According to The Boston Globe, the school held a gathering in his honor on Saturday evening and provided counseling for students on Sunday.
“On Monday, Tufts counseling and mental health services will hold drop-in hours from 10 a.m. until noon. The counseling center will also provide services all week from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.,” The Globe reported.
