Boston Police arrested two juvenile suspects in connection to the fatal shooting in Dorchester on June 10.

Officers arrested the Dorchester youths, 14 and 16, on Saturday, and charged them with the murder of 16-year-old Jonathan Dos Santos.

Both suspects will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court today.

“I want to recognize the tremendous work done by the men and women of the Boston Police Homicide Unit that led to the arrest of two suspects within four days of the incident,” Commissioner Bill Evans said. “I’d also like to recognize and give credit to all those who aided and assisted this investigation. We asked community members to step up and help us identify those responsible for this senseless murder and they did. And, for their help, we are grateful.”

Dos Santos was shot while riding his bike on Washington Street near Fuller Street at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Police found him suffering from gunshot wounds and transported him to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

A 7-year-old boy named Divan Silva was shot in the thigh not far from the scene of Dos Santos’ shooting. Silva is expected to make a full recovery. His shooting is still being investigated.

Dos Santos’ death marked the 11th homicide in Boston this year, compared to the 24 homicides this time last year.
