UPDATE: Winter Storm Watch in effect for Friday morning

The past balmy, rain-soaked week is expected to end on a snowy note.

According to the National Weather Service, Boston could get 1 to 3 inches of snow. WBZ is predicting 4 to 8 inches. Flakes are expected to start falling early Friday morning, around 1 or 2 a.m., with a steady fall predicted until about noon.

The weekend will warm up, but more snow is predicted for Monday and Tuesday.

The National Weather Service predicts that the snow will be more of a sloppy mess of slush with temperatures hanging around the mid-30’s.
