Which are Boston’s most flowery neighborhoods?

A new report has analyzed Bostonians’ flower-buying trends, revealing which neighborhoods are the biggest spenders and most popular recipients of flowers.

The report, released by real estate search site RentHop, reviewed data from August 2014 to July 2016 from Florist.com and found that the most flower-empowered areas can be found around the city’s outskirts.

Peabody ranked first when it came to spending big on flowers, with ZIP code 01960 spending $1,879 on Florist.com arrangements over the last two years. The same ZIP code also had the most flowers delivered, receiving $2,060 worth of flowers over the same two-year timespan.

Other big spenders on flowers included Malden and South Boston, which spent $1,629 and $1,486 respectively, according to RentHop. When it came to receiving bouquets, Fenway/Kenmore and Woburn were second and third behind Peabody, which each received upwards of $1,650 worth of arrangements.

Some neighborhoods’ residents like to go big when they send flowers, and those who live in Back Bay’s 02199 ZIP code sent the most expensive arrangements, averaging around $103 each, RentHop added. The lucky inhabitants of Littleton received the priciest bouquets, with their flower deliveries averaging just north of $95.
