Woman said she was sexually assaulted while walking dog

Police are investigating the attack, which happened early Thursday morning.

A woman told police she was sexually assaulted while walking her dog in Easton early Thursday morning, police there said.

Police said they responded just after 6 a.m. to the area of 41 Foundry St., where the victim walked into the driveway of a business near the attack and asked for help, the Brockton Enterprise reported.

The woman was taken to Brockton Hospital, police said.

“The victim stated she lost consciousness briefly, and based on further statements she provided to detectives, there was concern that a sexual assault may have occurred,” Deputy Police Chief Keith Boone told the Enterprise.


No suspect description was immediately available.
