Boston’s Medieval Manor set to close

Medieval Manor has been running dinner theatre shows in Boston for 43 years.

Hear ye, hear ye. The end of days may be approaching for Medieval Manor, Boston’s beloved king-helmed dinner theater show.

The South End attraction announced the decision on Thursday.

For more than four decades, the Manor hosted countless bachelor parties, birthday feasts and other drunken celebrations, serving up beer, eat-with-your-hands food, songs, dances and perv-y jokes aplenty.

But alas, the last dinner bell may be ringing at the end of 2015 for the Boston institution.

“New Year’s Eve will likely be our last show,” a notice posted on the Manor’s website Thursday reads. “It has been a joy to serve you all these years and we hope to see you soon. Long live the King!”

Tickets for shows, which run Thursdays through Sundays, were still for sale on the Medieval Manor website.
