BROOKLYN. The Bouquet Bandit has been nipped in the bud. Edward Pemberton, 44, was arrested in Brooklyn yesterday and charged with robbing two Chelsea banks.
On July 8, Pemberton allegedly entered a Capital One and showed a teller a threatening note he pulled from under a potted plant. Then on July 15 he carried a bouquet of flowers into the Bank of Smithtown and handed over another note, warning the teller “don’t be a hero.”
Police said he works in the nearby flower district.
