LONDON (Reuters) – Britain has assured members of the next U.S. administration that it will not put at risk Northern Ireland’s 1998 peace agreement, foreign minister Dominic Raab said on Sunday, accusing the European Union instead of putting pressure on it.

“We are very clear…we will never do anything to put at risk the Good Friday Agreement…and of course if the EU does the same, this issue is resolved,” he told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show. “Out argument is that…it is EU that has put pressure on that with the approach it has taken.”
