Bronx strip club workers busted on cocaine charges

Nine people have been arrested on charges related to the sale of cocaine at a popular Bronx strip club.

Sin City Cabaret, a gentlemen’s club at 2520 Park Ave. in Mott Haven, was the scene of nearly two dozen cocaine purchases made by undercover officers since December 2014, totaling over $20,000, authorities stated. Most sales took place inside or in front of the club.

Rosanna Debrooks, Claudia de la Rosa, Blair Padilla, Jasmine Edmonds and Joeana McCarthy were dancers at the club who have now been charged with various counts and degrees of the criminal sale of a controlled substance, officials stated.

Similar charges were leveled against Isaac Flores, Charles Percell and Janae Ellis, who were bouncers at the club, and against Pamela Contreras, who allegedly supplied the narcotics, police added.

The recent string of arrests began on June 21 when Contreras was arrested as she was attempting to sell 200 grams of cocaine to an undercover officer for $11,500, according to law enforcement, which added that de la Rosa was arrested that same day at the apartment she shared with Contreras.

At the club, the defendants were alleged to have sold individual doses of cocaine, sometimes inside a capsule or bag or rolled in a dollar bill, for $100, officials explained.

The NYPD also started a nuisance abatement action against the club in response to repeated criminal activity inside and around the club, authorities added. All of the defendants have pleaded not guilty.
