A young woman from Manhattan says a Brooklyn man she met on Craigslist raped her repeatedly after spiking her drink with “Molly” last month, DNAinfo.com reports.
The 23-year-old woman met up with Soutrik Pramanik, 31, on Aug. 12 after he replied to an advertisement she had posted saying she was looking for a relationship.
The victim reportedly had five glasses of wine with dinner and fell asleep in a taxi while headed to another restaurant for dessert. She woke up as the cab stopped at Pramanik’s apartment. After he walked her inside to lie down, he allegedly made sexual advances that she rebuffed.
Pramanik then brought her water and then orange juice which he admitted to spiking with Molly, a pure form of Ecstasy, after she complained about a bitter taste.
According to court documents, he raped her several times that night and then again the following morning. She called the police after getting home.
Pramanik was arrested last Thursday and released on $50,000 bail. He is expected back in court on Sept. 26 to answer multiple charges including rape and assault.
