After rebuilding her Staten Island home damaged by Superstorm Sandy, an elderly woman is dealing with losing her house again after it was set ablaze by burglars over the weekend.

Mary Roberts, whose 90thbirthday is in just a few weeks, used FEMA funds and her life savings to repair her New Dorp home after Sandy flooded it, NBC New York reports.

Roberts was on vacation when thieves got away with her jewelry, two televisions and her grandson’s BMW before they set fire to her house, according to CBS 2.

“I think they were cowards, whoever did it,” Roberts’ niece Loren Centineo told CBS. “Why take on a 90-year-old woman? A few extra dollars and a car? Why burn the house down?”

Robert’s stained glass window that endured Sandy was also destroyed during the blaze that swept through her entire home.

The incident has shaken Roberts, and she doesn’t think she will rebuild again.

“I’m gonna worry. What if I’m sleeping and they come in again?” she told CBS 2. “No, I can’t go through that again. I’m not going to go through that.”
