Burj Khalifa: See climbing Frenchman scale world’s tallest building

Alain Robert, the French adventurer/attention-seeker who has scaled the Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower and the New York Times building, finally decided to do something interesting with his life Monday, scaling Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

Robert managed the 2,700 foot climb in six hours. To comply with safety requirements, the 48-year-old ‘French Spiderman’ used a rope and harness, which he usually forsakes.

Robert’s future plans are unknown, but expect him to sink into a deep and dark ennui as he contemplates what kind of future could be left for a man who has literally gone as high as he can go. (via BBC News)
