Canada Hall exhibits add important chapters of our history

Canada Hall at the Canadian Museum of Civilization has grown by another two exhibitions.

The museum added two important chapters in Canadian history to its largest and most popular permanent hall with the introduction of From Rebellions to Confederation, 1837-1867 and Toles School.

“The Canada Hall is our most popular exhibition with close to half a million visitors every year,” said Dr. Victor Rabinovitch, president and CEO of the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation.

“It is constantly evolving as we continue to layer in new information from our nation’s history.”
Rebellions to Confederation introduces visitors to the historical characters that led the 19th century rebels and patriots in confronting colonial powers in Upper Canada (Ontario) and Lower Canada (Quebec).

Toles School reproduces a one-room schoolhouse from the 1940s that once stood in Amber Valley, Alberta.
