Canadian national synchro swimming team head coach Susan Kemper resigns

OTTAWA – Susan Kemper has resigned as head coach of the Canadian national synchronized swimming team, Synchro Canada announced Saturday.

Kemper had been in charge of the national ‘A’ team since September and involved with the national team for six years.

Assistant coaches Denise Sauve and Nathalie Lagrange were to continue with the national team in Kemper’s absence.

Kemper, from Coquitlam, B.C., has been involved in synchronized swimming for 25 years as an athlete and a coach.

Her coaching experience with Canada’s national ‘B’ team includes the Swiss Open and the U.S. Open.

She was also the assistant coach for the Netherlands at the 2001 junior world FINA championships and head coach for Malaysia at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England and at the 2003 FINA world championships in Barcelona.
