Capitol Police are reportedly looking into Staten Island Rep. Michael Grimm’s threat against a NY1 reporter earlier this week.

On Thursday, NY1’s Michael Scotto was contacted by Capitol Police about the incident, NY1 reported.

Scotto told police that he did not want to press charges.

In an interview following President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, Scotto tried to ask Grimm about an ongoing investigation into his campaign finances.

Grimm cut Scotto off before he could finish his question and walked away, but then returned and threatened Scotto, saying, “Let me be clear to you: You ever do that to me again, I’ll throw you off this f—ing balcony.”

The congressman said after the incident that he was annoyed that Scotto took a “disrespectful and cheap shot” at him by asking the question.

On Wednesday, he called Scotto and apologized.
