Carleton prof hosts discussion on springtime nature noises

Carleton biology professor Sue Bertram hosts The Sounds of Spring as a part of The Science Café series on Wednesday.

The Science Café series is organized by the science faculty at Carleton University to discuss relevant issues facing our society and how science can help solve real-world problems.

Bertram will discuss the sudden cacophony of sounds from frogs, toads and insects, and reveal why these creatures make such a ruckus in the springtime.

The discussion will take place on Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Wild Oat Café at 817 Bank St. in the Glebe. A question and answer period will follow.
