Cdn dollar opened at 100 cents US, up 0.17

TORONTO – The Canadian dollar opened at 100 cents US, up 0.17 of a cent from Thursday’s close.

The U.S. dollar stood at 100 cents Cdn, down 0.17 of a cent.

Pound sterling was worth C$1.5704, down 0.11 of a cent and US$1.5704 up 0.16 of a cent.

The euro was worth C$1.3137, up 0.34 of a cent.
