Cdn dollar opened at 98.83 cents US, down 0.44

TORONTO – The Canadian dollar opened at 98.83 cents US, down 0.44 of a cent from Monday’s close.

The U.S. dollar stood at 101.18 cents Cdn, up 0.44 of a cent.

Pound sterling was worth C$1.5746, up 0.59 of a cent and US$1.5562, down 0.10 of a cent.

The euro was worth C$1.3150, up 0.21 of a cent.
