Celtics clobber Kings in first official Rondo-less game

The Celtics bashed the Kings at TD Garden Wednesday night, 99-81, and won their second straight game without Rajon Rondo.

Boston (22-23) was dominant in the second quarter, topping Sacramento 37-14 en route to an easy victory.

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Avery Bradley, Brandon Bass, Jeff Green and Jason Terry all scored in double-figures for the Green. Bradley and Courtney Lee started in the backcourt for Boston.

What they’ll be saying: The Celtics are off to a great start in the post-Rondo injury “era” but there isn’t any reason to lock the C’s into the Eastern Conference playoff picture just yet as Sacramento is one of the worst teams in the NBA.
