Celtics clobber Magic

Celtics-Logo1

One night after they rested stars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce in a loss to the Heat, the Celtics looked to be in full playoff mode against the Magic in Orlando. Boston destroyed Orlando, 120-88, Saturday night at Amway Center and moved to 41-39 on the season.

All five Celtics starters, Jeff Green, Avery Bradley, Brandon Bass, Pierce and Garnett, scored in double-figures and Courtney Lee had a team-high 20 off the bench. Jordan Crawford continued to shoot well for the C’s as he scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting.

What they’ll be saying: The 20-66 Magic are certainly ready for summer vacation but beating any NBA team by 30-plus points on the road is impressive. This game was likely the last time we’ll see the Celtics go full-throttle until the playoffs begin next weekend. The Knicks play the Pacers Sunday afternoon in a game that C’s fans should have an eye on as one of the two will almost assuredly be their playoff opponent in the first round.
