Celtics defeat Bobcats, win back-to-back games on the road

The Celtics are back on a win streak after a quality 96-86 win on the road in Charlotte against the Bobcats Monday night. The win comes following the teams road win against Atlanta Saturday night.

The team used a strong second quarter to blow past the Bobcats. The Celtics trailed 21-14 after one quarter, but outscored Charlotte 33-17 in the second quarter to pull away and even after Charlotte tied the game at the end of the third the Celtics responded quickly with an 11-0 of their own. It was another balanced scoring attack for the Celtics as five players reached double figures. Jordan Crawford led the way with 21 points followed by Gerald Wallace who had a season-high 17 points off the bench. Brandon Bass and Jeff Green contributed 16 and 13 respectively.

The Bobcats were led by UConn grad Kemba Walker who had a game-high 28 points in the loss.

The Celtics will return to action back at TD Garden Wednesday night (7:30, CSNNE) where they will welcome the Memphis Grizzlies.

What they'll be saying: It was another terrific all-around game for the Celtics as they played fairly well from start to finish shooting 44 percent from the field as well as 45 percent from three-point range and took care of the ball, only turning the ball over 12 times. Off the bench Courtney Lee had a strong game as well, recording 11 points in 15 minutes, while Phil Pressey dished out eight assists. The one negative thing about the game was Avery Bradley who was limited to just two points in nine minutes because of foul trouble.
