Celtics drop third straight in loss to Timberwolves

After winning four games in row last week, the Celtics opened some eyes as to just how good they could be, but after Saturday's 106-88 loss to the Timberwolves in Minnesota, the Celtics have now lost three straight games and have looked every bit like the lottery team people expected going into the season.

Similar to last night's game with the Trailblazers, the Celtics were in the game at the half, but Minnesota outscored the Celtics 34-20 in the third quarter to blow the game open. Avery Bradley had his best game of the season putting up 27 points in the losing effort. Brandon Bass added 15, while Jordan Crawford had 10.

The Timberwolves had three players with 20 or more points led by Kevin Love who had 23 and then Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic both finishing with 20.

The Celtics will continue their road trip by taking on the Rockets Tuesday night (8:00, CSNNE).

What they'll be saying: In the type of year the Celtics are having there need to be positives taken for each game. Friday night it was Jared Sullinger and his performance, Saturday night it was Vitor Faverani, who got the start and responded with a nine point, 14 rebound performance, finishing as the leading rebounder in the game. Turnovers played a major factor in the loss as the Celtics turned the ball over 21 times.
