The 2014-15 Celtics overachieved, there’s little doubt about that. But getting swept by any team, including one led by the best player on Earth, stings.

The Celtics saw their season come to a harsh end Sunday at TD Garden, as they fell, 101-93, to the powerhouse Cavaliers.

The C’s had their moments against the Cavs in the series, but LeBron James proved to be far too much for Boston to handle. James had a game-high 27 points Sunday in the close-out affair.

Boston went against the early series grain in Game 4, this time falling behind early but having a superb third quarter that got them back in the contest. The Celts outscored the Cavs, 25-13, in the third to make things interesting.

Jared Sullinger and Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics in Game 4 with 21 points apiece.
