In one of the worst home losses in the last 10 years, the Celtics were blown out by the Warriors, 108-88 at TD Garden Wednesday night. At one point the Celtics trailed by 31 points, tying the largest deficit at home since a game against the Rockets in 2007.
This game could have been even worse as the C's entered the fourth trailing, 84-54, but outscored Golden State 34-24 in the final frame. Off the bench Kelly Olynyk led the Celtics finishing with 19 points, while Rajon Rondo added 14 points and seven assists, but turned the ball over seven times.
Golden State was led by Klay Thompson and David Lee who each had 18 points.
The C's will be back in action Friday night (7:30, CSNNE) when the Brooklyn Nets come to Boston.
What they'll be saying: It was certainly one of the uglier games of the season for the C's as they shot 40 percent from the field and turned the ball over 22 times leading to 34 points for the Warriors. With the loss the Celtics are now 20-41 on the year, which is currently good for the fourth-worst record in the league.
