After the spectacular recreation of a supermarket last season, Chanel managed to surprise again, in welcoming the guests to “Boulevard Chanel” – a life-size mock-up of the famous Parisian street complete with Haussmannian buildings. In this magnificent set, the audience were immersed in a women’s rights protest involving models like Gisele Bundchen, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Caroline de Maigret. During this demonstration, Lagerfeld showed that for him, unlike most designers, next summer will be an explosion of colors and prints, with shots of khaki and soft pastels. Even the traditional tweed and box jackets felt like they had been splashed with a painter’s palette.
