Charles Barkley parties, raps, slams Alabama after Auburn win

To the winner goes the spoils, right?

TNT basketball announcer Charles Barkley took to the bar scene in Auburn following his alma mater’s win over No. 1 Alabama Saturday and he certainly enjoyed himself.

Barkley wasn’t concerned with his school’s somewhat flukey victory, relishing knocking off Auburn’s top rival in the biggest Iron Bowl ever. Deadspin was tipped off that the Basketball Hall of Famer was at a bar called En Fuego a few hours after the win. The bar is in Verbena, Ala. which is actually about halfway between Tuscaloosa and Auburn. The two cities are located in western Alabama and eastern Alabama respectively.

So there’s a pretty good chance the bar had both Auburn fans drinking themselves into a joyous stupor and Alabama fans drinking themselves into a depression-filled hangover.

But Deadspin quoted Barkley as slamming Crimson Tide fans, saying, “I just wanna take a moment to acknowledge all the Bama fans in the house. … Thanks for playing and get the hell back to Tuscaloosa. Roll tears roll. War Damn Eagle.”

Beautiful.

However, what’s not beautiful was Barkley trying to rap later in the night. As you’ll see in the video above, he hopped up on stage and mumbled along to Kanye West and Jay Z’s “Niggas in Paris” for a few stanzas. His rapping skills are questionable at best, but his stage presence was truly terrible.

Maybe he needed Kim Kardashian to join him up on stage.
