Calgary Police are hoping to hunt down a pedophile after a stash of child pornography was found in a southeast city drainage canal near Inglewood Golf Club.
A former Calgary resident, now living in Delta, B.C. stumbled across what seemed to be more than 50 photos printed off of the Internet while on a leisurely walk Friday, said Calgary Police Insp. Paul Stacey, noting police have no idea how long the images featuring young boys in various unclothed poses — some quite weathered and scattered around bushes — had been there.
“This is one of the most disturbing, taboo things anybody could do,” Stacey said. “It’s one of the worst forms of child abuse and we don’t have any leads on the children in the images or the person behind this.”
