Chinese business-to-business website DHGate came under fire after one of its sellers was offering a childlike sex doll its page. DHGate is a business-to-business website that allows Chinese companies to sell to overseas businesses.

Seller Allenchow89.LTD boasted on its page “Wholesale – new arrival cheap beautiful young girl sex doll for men sexy love dropship best realdoll factory.” The doll resembles a child with its young face and pre-pubescent body.

Dining for Dignity, a group dedicated to fighting child sex trafficking, created a Facebook event raising awareness about the doll. There is also a petition to remove the doll off DHGate on Causes.com. The group received the following e-mail from DHGate after the company removed the doll from the site yesterday:

“Hello Kelly,

I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that DHgate is against the selling of products that promote pedophilia. Product listings for ‘childlike sex dolls’ have been removed as of today, and DHgate has a strict policy against such products. We are working to ensure this does not happen again.

Please feel free to contact me if there is anything else I can assist with.

Regards,
Morris”

The organization is trying to get similar products removed from the site.

The photos of the doll are disturbing; Metro was able to access the page through Google cache. As of Nov. 10, when the page was cached, there had been 57 transactions and three customer reviews. The dolls were being sold for between $167.32 and $178 per piece. The page described the doll’s anatomical functions in graphic detail and boasted that the material was realistic and made of medical grade silicone.
