This Easter, you can give your kids some Peeps or a chocolate Easter bunny from the check out aisle at Duane Reed, or you can give them candy that is almost too beautiful to eat (almost!). Jacques Torres Chocolateis known for their special hand-made chocolates and the chocolatiers went all out for Easter.

From chocolate bunnies and barnyard animals to chocolate bars with spring scenes, their offerings are truly one of a kind. But what really stands out are the eggs. The speckled eggs look like shiny marble, and you have the option of buying ones fashioned to look like chickens with cheery little beaks and long, chocolate eyelashes.

In honor of the holiday, Jacques Torres made a giant 30″ x 22″ chocolate Easter egg with the New York City skyline wrapping around it. It’s currently being displayed at his Dumbo location, at 66 Water Street. The egg is part of the Faberge Big Egg Hunt, which consists of hundreds of Easter eggs created by designers such as Jeff Koons, Bruce Weber and Ralph Lauren hidden throughout the city. All the eggs are up for bid and the profits all will be donated to Elephant Family, a charity committed to protecting endangered elephants. Currently, Torres’ egg is $650.
