The ever candid Teigen goes on to describe how painful and difficult even getting out of bed was. “Getting out of bed to get to set on time was painful… When I wasn’t in the studio, I never left the house. I mean, never. There was a lot of spontaneous crying.”

Teigen took to Twitter after her essay came out to reassure everyone that despite writing about her struggles with depression and anxiety, she wants to be treated the same. “Please don’t feel like you have to tiptoe around me!” she writes. “It is the most uncomfortable feeling ahhhh only downside to sharing PPD.”

Bravo to Teigen for opening up about such an intensely personal, trying experience. Although, it is pretty depressing to hear that being hot, rich, and married to John Legend isn’t enough to keep the sads away.

There’s definitely no hope for the rest of us plebians.
