Over a week after blood moon doomsdayers were proven wrong, eBible Fellowship leader Chris McCann stated that the “the world will pass away” on Wednesday, October 7, having been annihilated “with fire,” he was quoted in a Guardian report.

The eBible Fellowship, an online organization headquartered near Philadelphia, has based its end-of-the-world prediction on a previous claim that the world would end on May 21, 2011, the Guardian reported, adding that the organization is confident it has the correct date this time.

According to McCann, following May 21, 2011, God turned his attention to deciding which non-churchgoers to save, and his eBible Fellowship believes that God said he would devote 1,600 days to this task – bringing the date to October 7, 2015, the Guardian reported.

“According to what the Bible is presenting, it does appear that October 7 will be the day that God has spoken of. … In which the world will pass away,” said McCann in the Guardian article. “It’ll be gone forever. Annihilated.”

“God destroyed the first Earth with water, by a flood, in the days of Noah. And he says he’ll not do that again, not by water. But he does say … that he’ll destroy it by fire,” McCann was quoted in the article.
