Commuter rail breaks summer records

As of Sept. 1, the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail had 16 total passenger complaints regarding air conditioning for the entire summer, the lowest number ever for them.

Marking the fifth consecutive year that the commuter rail operator delivered “a near perfect record for cool commutes,” despite working with older coaches, this summer was their best so far, according to reports from the commuter service.

All 410 coaches received a preseason assessment to identify defects and potential failures, which resulted in approximately 280 repairs.
