Police uncovered 37 kilos of cocaine and $65,000 in cash at an empty and apparently abandoned Quincy apartment this week.

State and Quincy police seized the drugs, worth upwards of $1.5 million, at the unoccupied apartment at 2 Hancock St., officials said. The home also “appeared to be abandoned.”

During the joint seizure, authorities additionally discovered a shoe box holding $65,000 in cash, according to Norfolk District Michael W. Morrissey.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
