A Methuen teen was ordered held without bail after police arrested him for allegedly making terroristic threats on Facebook.
Cameron Dambrosio, 18, was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing set for next week, police said in a statement.
On Tuesday several students at Methuen High School reported to school officials that they received a worrisome Facebook message from Dambrosio. The threats were not directed at a particular person or school.
However, at his arraignment Thursday, authorities said Dambrosio made a threat to “outdo the Boston Marathon bombings,” the Globe reported.
Dambrosio was not at school, but police were able to locate him and arrest him.
Police said they obtained a search warrant to search Dambrosio’s home.
