A Brooklyn man died early Saturday morning after police said he refused medical attention hours after he was attacked.

Cops said Michael Brown, 38, died at Interfaith Medical Center on Saturday evening, hours after five men are though to have brutally beat up Brown in front of a Crown Heights corner store.

According to investigators, Brown was on the corner of Utica Avenue and Sterling Place at around 4 a.m. when the five unidentified assailants approached him, kicking and punching the man.

Paramedics arrived at the early morning scene, but authorities said Brown refused treatment and went home.

Emergency workers were later called to Brown’s home on Park Place, where reported finding Brown coughing up blood and semi-conscious.

The Medical Examiner’s office still needs determine the cause of death, police said, while cops try to track down Brown’s attackers.
