Cops renew call for info about murder

Police officers yesterday returned to the neighbourhood where Wendy Ladner-Beaudry was found murdered to hand out flyers with the victim’s photo and information regarding the incident.

RCMP Cpl. Dale Carr said police will also be back today in an effort to jog people’s memories and see if there are any witnesses who might not have come forward yet.

“Very often, investigators find that someone out there decided not to call police because they felt what they knew would be of no assistance,” Carr said.

“If you feel you have any level of information, please call us and allow us to determine its value to the investigation.”

Carr said investigators have received a “tremendous” number of tips from the public, but more information is needed to help piece together a timeline of events leading up to Ladner-Beaudry’s death.

The 53-year-old mother of two and sister of former city councillor Peter Ladner was murdered while jogging through Pacific Spirit Park on April 3.
