Some jobs are harder than others. Nick Zano’s latest television gig, on the new ABC comedy Cougartown, isn’t one of them.
The series follows single mom Courteney Cox as she re-enters the dating life. Zano is the lucky stiff who plays her boyfriend.
“So that’s been fun,” he says nonchalantly. Working with Cox on her return to network comedy has been educational for the 31-year-old actor as well as surprisingly stress-free. “She’s the nicest woman you could ever meet.”
Of course, another creative force behind the show is Cox’s husband, David Arquette, and playing intimate with one of the executive producer’s wives can be a bit intimidating. Luckily, Arquette wasn’t around for any of those scenes. “He was on the set for one day, but we were on location — and it was very PG.”
