Ex-Red Sox great Curt Schilling sparked a Twitter debate yesterday over the premise of macro-evolution and the science behind it. Our man Curt’s main gripe? How can one species evolve into another? Yeah, it went about as well as you would expect. There was also some chatter about Curt’s main bugaboos, namelyYankee fans and Democrats. There was also plenty of needling abouthis failed video game venture. Here is a sampling of the knowledge bombs he was lobbing around the Twittersphere:
@andrew_kalman @applextree Evolution, outside of micro-evolution amongst Phyla, will ALWAYS fail. It cannot be proven, never has.

@Bye_Dogma @wmdavid66 @idiocyalert @_Golden_Rule_ Far easier to believe every living organism on this planet came from 1 cell?? Really?
— Curt Schilling (@gehrig38) November 13, 2014
The example. Every living creature came from one cell? Show me the fossils of the beings that became humans, before they were humans…
— Curt Schilling (@gehrig38) November 13, 2014
@BillyStriker Ok, now have them show you a fossil of something evolving between this and man….Or this and ANYTHING else not like it.

@CharlieRDaley Show me ONE fossil, ANWHERE in the world that is a “miss”, a creature in between two creatures as it evolved? Doesn’t exist.

@Haertcore @wmdavid66 @Bye_Dogma @_Golden_Rule_ @idiocyalert Where in the fossil record is the evidence for progressive evolution?
