DA: No charges in Revere Catholic school indecent exposure investigation

Authorities will not seek charges after completing an investigation into an alleged indecent exposure incident at a Revere Catholic school.

Earlier this month, three staff members of the Immaculate Conception School staff resigned after reports that a worker allegedly exposed himself to student in a bathroom and supervisors failed to report the incident, according to the Archdiocese of Boston.

Now, Revere Police and Suffolk County prosecutors say that the employee in question, a 64-year-old custodian, did not commit any crime.

According to a statement from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, the custodian used the boys restroom, located across the hall from his office several times in December and early January. During that time, a boy reported observing the employee using a urinal.

No child, however, reported that the adult engaged in physical contact with them, nor did an adult use sexual language around them.

“No child reported any action by the adult that would support criminal charges,” read the statement from the Suffolk DA.

Authorities spoke with the mother of the boy to explain their findings. She expressed relief, according to the DA’s office and did not wish to proceed with any criminal case. The investigation is therefore closed.
