What appears to be a new ad campaign for the newest “Star Wars” film has begun popping up all over New York City in the form of hilariously sardonic posters.
“The L train leads to Williamsburg. Williamsburg leads to hipsters. Hipsters lead to rage. Rage leads to hate. Hate leads to the Dark Side,” reads one of the posters.
All of the posters are in this format, modeled after Yoda’s speech to Anakin Skywalker in “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.”
“Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
The ads have certainly resonated with New Yorkers. Can you blame them? Try going on a Tinder date and see if that doesn’t send you on a spiral to the Dark Side.
