Darrelle Revis was reportedly sent home by Patriots head coach Bill Belichick on Tuesday, after the cornerback showed up late for practice, according to The Boston Globe.

Patriots players were told to report to Gillette Stadium at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday after having several days off following last Thursday’s 27-25 win over the Jets.

It was not made clear how late Revis was and the Patriots declined to comment on the matter in the Globe report.

In 2009, Belichick sent home Randy Moss, Derrick Burgess, Adalius Thomas and Gary Guyton for showing up late to practice despite a snowstorm. Less than a year after the incident, only Guyton remained on the Patriots roster.
